Halifax Opportunities Trust is privileged to work in partnership with Calderdale Council Family Services to support families through a number of Children Centres in the central Halifax area. The Hub of these activities is the Jubilee Children’s Centre on Lightowler Road.
Whether you are looking for anti natal care, support with your child’s early learning, advice on healthy eating for the family or just facing those challenging times every family comes up against when you need a bit of extra support – there’s a Sure Start near you waiting and happy to give informal but professional help.

Halifax Opportunities Trust has worked in Partnership with Calderdale Council for the past 5 year to develop and to run a number of Sure Start Children’s Centres in the Central Halifax area. The Children’s Centres are designed so that they are all very different.
