The Trust is a membership organisation, open to any individual or organisation living or working in Halifax who supports its aims and objectives. Like many other community development trusts which have been established throughout the UK over the past fifteen years or more, it will bring an entrepreneurial approach to the business of improving the social and economic life of its constituent communities. Its board consists of six Directors appointed from the business, public and voluntary sectors, with a further six directors elected each year by the membership on a rotating basis. There are also a further 3 places for co-opted members.
