The name of the Trust has been chosen quite carefully,
to reflect the values of inclusiveness, enterprise and community benefit:
- HALIFAX - because we aim to ensure that the area of Halifax where we have our base is a neighbourhood that plays a full part in the life of the town as a whole and is seen as an asset and not a liability for Halifax - and because we think we have something special to offer Halifax in terms of the way we can get people of different cultures and backgrounds to work together for the common good.
- OPPORTUNITIES - because
we want to be a dynamic organisation that identifies opportunities and then seizes those opportunities for the benefit of local people.
- TRUST
- because we are a charitable organisation, which is committed to social
and community benefit, not private profit.
