Working with local people to combat loneliness and isolation, we aim to create opportunities for a better life through a range of activities that foster social cohesion and create a sense of community.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cOur aspirations for the Hub are to ensure everyone in our local community has a welcoming space to visit so they can meet new people, get involved with local initiatives and gain the support they need.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Apna means \u2018ours, yours or everybody\u2019s\u2019 in many South Asian languages. The Hub is a welcoming space for all communities to visit and attend weekly events and activities at Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre, with a focus on building social connections, enhancing wellbeing and creating positive change. Activities that will take place at the centre include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Arts and Crafts Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chat and Chai<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knit and Natter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mindful Living<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearts Apart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yaadein Reminiscence Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Listening Sofa and Coffee Morning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new space will also be available for other local charities and community groups to use and host events, further building community connections and strong collaborations.
