Last Wednesday we held our first Employment & Opportunities Fair in collaboration with Ahead Partnership at Dean Clough’s Crossley Gallery. Around 150 people visited the fair and had the opportunity to talk directly with potential employers.
We invited up to 20 businesses and organisations from across Calderdale and wider West Yorkshire to engage with potential employees and volunteers. Some of the businesses that attended were XP Logistics, Nat West, Nestle, Calderdale Council and Covea.
We also welcomed support services Citizens Advice Calderdale, Voluntary Action Calderdale, Halifax Central Initiative and North Halifax Partnership to offer advice and support to attendees.
The Fair was funded as part of the Hopeful Families project.
Hopeful Families is jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.
