Hire The Outback
The Outback is a community kitchen and garden, part of local charity Halifax Opportunities Trust. It’s based in the heart of Calderdale’s Park Ward. All our produce is organically grown, local, freshly picked and tasty.
Our straw bale kitchen, along with our community garden, is available for local schools, nurseries, community groups and businesses to visit or hire. It makes an excellent setting for meetings, events, regular groups or even a picnic in the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and can comfortably seat up to 24 people.
Our pricing has been developed so our space is accessible for all, we’re transparent about our prices and all the proceeds we receive go back into funding the running of the Outback, growing produce and the fantastic events and activities we host. Our packages are separated into the following packages:
Community
Our community packages are aimed at local community organisations, groups, charities, schools or education providers. To qualify for this package you must provide relevant evidence of your association with the above.
Commercial
Our commercial packages are for local businesses and organisations, who wish to use the Outback as an alternative space for team meetings, away days, events or host third-party workshops. We ask for a 50% deposit when a booking is made (not returnable if you cancel). The above applies for both community and commercial bookings.
